I beat the game once with a character that I thought I imported from Mass Effect 1, but didn't get the Long Service Medal achievement (which you get if you beat the game twice, or beating the game once if you import your Mass Effect 1 character). She mentions using games in a way that I hadn't heard of before...an example is a game called EVOKE that is a free MMO where you try to solve problems like world hunger and poverty. She argues that as long as a game is well designed people will play it. There is also a part of the interview (near the picture of a book, and the question begins "What about the idea of gamer’s regret?") that mentions the psychological benefits of videogames. The study she cites follows 1,100 soldiers...it is really interesting, but to sum it up the ones that played games for 3 to 4 hours a day coped much better with the stress of combat than anyone else.
