How often do you purchase a game or gaming related accessory?
Best Answer
I buy one every time one peaks my interest... So there could be a few a month, or there could be none for a few months... although more often than not it's at least monthly. If not big games, or something I was on the fence about and waiting for to go on clearance, then something on the PSN. I have games that would last me the rest of the year, but I am going to buy other games before then because I want to play them. An example is inFamous. I bought it yesterday (pre-ordered from amazon for 48.58) and am stoked to get it. I usually get it a day early, so maybe I'll get to play it before everyone else! :D I guess it's just one of those things where your greed gets the best of you... I keep buying games even though I have what I need. So I'd say about once a month, at least...

Once every.. 4 or 5 months, maybe? I spend a lot of time playing free MMOs and independent games, though, and don't have a current-gen console, so maybe I'm not the best source of info for this.

I would say I used to average 2 or 3 a month, if you include XBLA/PSN games. But I started doing Gamefly about a month ago and the only game I bought was Killzone in February and I just pre-orderd Devil Summoner 2. But my avg as decreased considerably.

Whenever I can imagine me using it and making the game more enjoyable like a steering wheel or something simpler. Like being able to charge multiple controllers at once.
Or something that seems a "no brainer" like extra battery packs or a fan for that original release 360 pro.
Or.... If it has alot of blinking lights and cool sound effects

As often as there are games that I want to buy. I hate when surveys ask how many games I buy a month.

Almost never. Maybe 2 a year. I get bored of certain games too easily to really buy many. I usually finish the career/story mode and I'm done with the game. Side quests and all that other crap are annoying.
"Hey, Commander Miller, your commanding officer is being held hostage at the Japanese base and will be killed shortly. Instead of rescuing him, maybe you should come back to HQ to take a side quest for us."

I buy maybe three or four games per year, and maybe one or two game accessories.

I average 2 games per month, and one accessory per quarter. My collection of systems, accessories, and games is pretty extensive....

Hm.. I want to say I get a game every couple months. Sometimes I can go for a long period of time without buying anything. And if a bunch of games I want come out at once, then i may get a few games during that month (unlikely, though). I don't usually buy any accessories unless I need them. For some reason they don't seem to be worth the money.

Pretty regularly, but we're talking on both a modern console as well as last generation, casusal games for the PC (what.. seven bucks a pop), as well as anything really heavily discounted. Actual new releases are few and far between, I've given up since the @ 15 games I have for the 360 represent every game currently out for it that I'd want. This year I'm looking forward to Overlord 2, BioShock 2 and Borderlands, that's it.

Not often, I am a video game reviewer. I like my games like I like my slaves: FREE.

depends on hoe much money I have, and what else I need to buy. I try to make a list at the beginning of the year of games I want to buy. Though the list usually changes around E3. To answer the question 1 every other month or so.
