Looks like PS3 is coming on strong now. Opinions?
Best Answer
I'm happy that the PS3 is doing better than before. I still wish they would make it fully backwards compatible and put the memory card slots and extra USB ports back on, though. Even though I love my PS3, it always feels like it's lacking a bit because it's missing those features that some of the older models had. I would even consider buying another PS3 is they put that stuff back and dropped the price another $100.
But anyway, I'm still looking forward to the future of the PS3 and really expecting a lot out of it within the next 8-10 years. It has a lot of potential, and would be a shame if it was wasted.

Coming on strong? By having new IPs and selling better than the past 2 years? By selling more in Japan than the Wii? What do you mean by it coming on strong? Yes, it's doing better than years 1 and 2, but I would hope it would be...

If the PS3 is doing well, then Microsoft and Nintendo have to try harder, which causes Sony to try harder, and around we go.
If any of the three systems does well, it benefits us gamers most of all.- 0

If you're talking relative to it's performance out of the gate I'd sure hope so! PS3 has underachieved no matter how high octane everyone claims the power of it is

If by strong, you mean equal or less then the PS2, I guess so. Its doing better then it was but I don't think I would jump out of my seat. They need a price cut, that would spur some movement.

strong and a possum that the wolves thought where dead!. (microsoft and Nintendo.) and now it can spring back to life!... haha.
Broken internal scaler (basically.) poor execution of Achievm...sorry, "trophies". no infrared?! really?
PS3 came out of the gate with 2 broken legs.. 2 years later it's finally out of rehab and picking up speed. I applaud some of there directions, like built in wifi, beyond easy harddrive upgrading, fantastic streaming functionality, the BluRay of course. but they forgot or ignored more than they should have.- 0

Since they lowered the price and started to get some really good games in, the PS3 has really caught up with the 360. But the sales for the PS3 are still really really weak. I personally think unless the price goes down atleast $50, theyre still gonna be behind the 360's sales.

It is picking up, and it's about time. I like my PS3 has but it hasn't won over any play time from my 360 lately.
