All impressive hack and slash games for me except Dante's Inferno, I finished it but I couldn't like it very much, I guess I didn't enjoy how the story was or how some bosses were. Bayonetta had some really cool interesting attack combinations and finishing moves which was what I enjoyed most. DMC4 simply looked cool and made you feel badass but I always sucked at doing combos in that game but it was still fun as hell. I got Heavenly Sword really early on and I remember the graphics in the game were gorgeous but that was awhile ago, the only thing I didn't like about Heavenly Sword was that it wasn't long enough.

I'd go with DMC4. i only played the demo for bayonetta and didn't really get into it. Dante's Inferno is really good and as Ryoshockwave said, it's closer to the God of War series, as for Heavenly Sword, can't help you cuz i never played it :\

Only one I've played is Devil May Cry 4, and I enjoyed it. I'm a general fan of the DMC series. I didn't play Bayonetta beyond the demo but it's made by the creators of DMC and plays a lot similarly. Heavenly Sword I believe was made by the developers who are working on the new DMC game, and I've heard both good and bad about Heavenly Sword but I think it also plays similarly to the DMC series (hack n slash, etc). Dante's Inferno is also like that, but it's a little closer to the God of War series in terms of gameplay and style. Also, DMC4 and Bayonetta were made by Japanese developers while Heavenly Sword and Dante's Inferno were made by Western developers if that means anything to you.

Bayonetta is a blast, with a lot of depth to it.

i actually really liked dante's inferno. the mechanics are almost exactly like God of War, so if you like that game, you'll enjoy dante's inferno
