Do you need a fancy computer to play Sims 3?

Sorry about all the sims questions, i dont want to be like Askmaster, but my computer isnt the most fancy ones and i tried to use some need for speed games on it and they didnt work right. But i did use Sims 2 on this computer and it worked fine. So do you think my computer would work with it?

I looked at Need for Speed Carbon vs. Sims 2 and Sims 3. Sims 2 doesn't require much at all compared to the other 2.

Carbon requires a 64mb video card and at least a 1.7ghz CPU. The newest sims game requires a 2ghz. and 128mb video card. So, by store-box PC standards.. not "super" fancy. but if your computer is a few years old it may have some troubles.

I always find it funny when someone says "my PC was only _insert_price_that_is_double_what_a_console_is. and it plays games fine." hehe.

  1. Yeah, it has to be fancy. Put some lace trim around the monitor, and dress it up in fancy clothes, anything with the word "couture" in the name will do.

  2. it depends on your idea of fancy. my computer onlly cost 800 dollers last year and it runs sims 3 fine. but what are the specs on youre computer.

  3. You can even play it on a Mac too. I've been playing it on a 1-year-old black MacBook, and it runs fine.
