I'm new to kingdom hearts. Where should i start?

there are so many kingdom hearts game that came out after 2 and idk which ones to play first. i know some are prequels and stuff so i'm a little confused

If you have a PS2, I'd say start with Kingdom Hearts 1 and then go in the order of their release (Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2, 358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep...) but if you don't have a PS2 yet have a PSP, then play Birth by Sleep which is a prequel and awesome stand alone game. To get the main story, I recommend playing Kingdom hearts 1, w and Birth by Sleep. Maybe the GBA version of Chain of Memories, but the rest are kinda pointless, crappy games intended for hardcore fans. Hope that helps.

  1. the whole story is mixed up. if you go in order of release dates, some stuff will be confusing but the storyline goes (birth by sleep, kingdom hearts, chain of memories, 358/2days, kingdom hearts 2, re:coded) the battle systems are different for each one. but if you get the final mix versions which is the japanese version you get extra stuff to do
