I love Kingdom Hearts 1 for the nostalgia. That game brings back a lot of great memories for me. I also really liked Birth by Sleep, and I'm tempted to call it my favorite, but I think I'm going to stick with the original for now. Kingdom Hearts 1 was truly great for it's time, there really wasn't another game like it when it came out, it was so original and fun. Square-Enix has made a lot of improvements on the gameplay and graphics since, but they've kinda overdone the story a little, it's gotten so convoluted. KH1 reminds me of a simpler time, before Organization XIII, Nobodies and Unbirths, back when Heartless was the main threat and they actually felt like a threat, and Disney actually felt like it had a purpose in the game.
