What is the best board game of all time?
Not "bored games" but old-fashioned games like Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary, Monopoly, RISK, Mouse Trap, etc.
Best Answer
Probably the best designed games are Risk and Clue. But there are a few board games on XBLA that I played the digital versions that made me want to get the real board version, like Carcassone and Settlers of Catan. But when I was a kid and played the most board games I had a big mofo called Atmosfear that had a modular board that had tons of possible layouts and came with a video that you played in the background that would stop the game and would put (usually negative) effects on players like missing a turn, which made players actually have to race to complete their turn and hot potato the dice to the next player.

I'd have to say Monopoly, there is a reason why its been played for decades, and why it still will be a favorite for years and years to come.

It may not be the best, but my favorite is 1313 deadend drive. It's complicated to learn, but fun to play.
