Does Kingdom Hearts II Save After Battle Report?

I looked up that to exit the Battle Report you have to restart the Playstation 2. Does this save my game data or does it not register that you defeated Xemnas?

There is no same after the final boss, in classic RPG fashion. You will be able to go back and fight him again, or finish other side quests in the game if you wish, but this isn't one of those games where you can start a new game off your finished file and have a bunch of cool carry-overs (sadly).
