If you are a 360 owner, how do you feel about the wirelress N adapter?
Do you think it is worth the $99.99 price tag that Xbox has thrown on it? It seems like MicroSoft will do anything to make a buck.

Only if you're not satisfied with the current wireless adapter. To be honest, I've done well with mine, I don't need a bigger one with TWO antennae.

It's bascially just an iteration of the previous wireless adapter, which was the same price. So really, it sucks that it costs that much, but that's been a complaint since the days of the original Xbox.

If you have an N router hooked up to your network and want to watch hi-def netflix streams. an "N" adapter is nearly required, unless you'r wired into your network, of course.
BUT, at $100, it's still a rip off. you can order a WRT150n router from amazon, refurbished for around 50 bucks. install DD-WRT (custom firmware.) set it as a bridge (essentially making it a big wireless adapter.) and hook that baby up to your PS3, 360, Wii (with the ethernet adapter.) you're cable box, TIvo, or whatever. and have them ALL running at Wireless N speeds. that's what I did. I ain't paying 100 bucks for a freaking wireless card, that's ridiculous.

Hey, hey, hey.... simmer down now. MSoft would never do anything to just make a buck! They're here to make our life better... just like Apple!
Having said that, this unit, like the previous one, is a complete rip off.
As a gamer (and I AM a gamer 'cause I just referred to myself as one), I have more than one console. So this approach to connectivity doesn't help me much.
I use a Wireless Bridge from Buffalo Technologies which is basically a router but it doesn't have a WAN port, it connects to an existing wireless network. This gives me four ports for all my consoles for less than the MSoft adapter. Plus I use it for other connectivity needs.
Oh wait... maybe you're right... damn.... sigh :(

Just about every accessory Microsoft has released on Xbox360 has been overpriced. No way would I spend $100 on this. I was lucky to get their old adapter for $40 instead of $100 last year.

Microsoft don't make much on the consoles, its the accessories that they make their money off.
The N adapter will be good if you have the use for it. If you are just playing games and streaming .avi files off your computer then that will be easily enough. As soon as you start streaming Netflix or the new Instant On Streaming that Microsoft are bringing out on Tuesday then you'll want to look at buying something like that.
Alternatively you can buy a Wireless N Bridge and use that... probably be about the same price though...
I'm running my 360 via ethernet at the moment... best way to have it really...
