Should I get a Nintendo 3DS?

With games like Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 out now, is it worth buying a 3DS?

My girlfriend just got me a 3DS for christmas and i absolutely love it. I have Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 and they are amazingly fun to play, and the graphics are amazing for Mario games. The 3d i think looks very good. And the 3ds comes with a game called Face Raiders and it is hilariously fun!

  1. Well the 3DS is a pretty great handheld, but right now i'm waiting for the PSV. So... You can get it if you want, because it can do a lot of stuff like great graphics, and 3D, and many other features, but I prefer to wait for the PS Vita.

  2. Now seems to be an good time to buy a 3DS. The 3DS game drought is ending with the releases of Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7. The future of the system seems promising as well with Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus Uprising, Paper Mario 3D, Kingdom Hearts, Tekken 3D, and Metal Gear Solid on the horizon. So yes, it seems like a pretty good time to get a 3DS.

  3. I think it's worth it. There are actually tons of games to choose from now if you consider 3DS releases, downloads, and the backlog of DS games. It's a great system, so really the only consideration to make is whether you'd rather have a 3DS or Vita if you can't afford both.

  4. I bought one at launch and was going to sell it after a few months but then a few good games came out and I'll be holding onto it for a while for sure. I liked Mario Kart 7 a little more due to online racing over Mario 3D Land but if you're into singleplayer I'd go Mario Land over Kart. There's a couple 3DS packages now and it's cheap enough where if you're even remotely interested it'd be a good pick up.

The PSV came out in Japan recently and the 3DS outsold it 8 to 1 over the holidays, so I don't have high hopes for it and they love Sony over there. You can't go wrong with the 3DS these days.
