What game franchise do you think is suffering from sequel fatigue?

Personally I would say the Assassins Creed series. Ever since the second one it feels like they have just been making the same game with only two or three minor tweaks. I can only buy the same video game over again so many times. I'm just glad they're finally done with Ezio.

I know I will get burned alive for saying this, but I think most of the FPS genre is going through a fatigue. Now I do realize they make a few tweaks and additions to some of the games to make it a bit more original. But, when I look at each FPS franchise, I just see the same tired and recycled concept, gameplay, and feel. I could never get behind the genre because of this. I don't want to invest in the same game over and over again.

Though I'm not talking about ALL FPS franchises seeing that there are some that manage to have a new kind of exprerience, but most of them feel like there's little innovation from 1 franchise to the next.

  1. Assassins Creed is starting to get a bit stale from the yearly release schedule, but at the moment the answer to this question is definitely the COD series, Im not trying to just be a hater like everyone else, but there has literally almost been no innovation whatsoever the last couple years. It needs to stop.

  3. I agree with you, I'm burned out on AC games. I also burned out on the Halo games, I haven't even rented the last couple games to try them out. I think Call of Duty is getting close, but they switch it up enough to keep things somewhat interesting so far.

  7. the same thing with two or three minor tweeks is a common occurence. know wut thats called? a sequel. y does no one complain wen a new COD comes out but the whole world gets pissy wen dynasty warriors does it? they add as little as possible and ur all payin fr it. COD adds a couple perks and the whole world has to have it. Dynasty warriors adds 10 new characters, 15 new weapons, a new game mode, and character customization. everyone complains cuz its the same thing. i have news. call of duty is the same fvcking game told from a different perspective. u like to shoot ppl? join the military and do it fr real. top of the leader board gets to keep his life. all those trash talkin noob children get to stay at home and cry cuz theyr too little to rock however COD gamers rock. i assume via system link circle jerk
