How do you beat Baron Flynt in Borderlands?

I'm a level 30 soldier and I can't seem to get him down to more than 1/4th of his health before he kills me or regains his health. He kills me in about 3 or 4 shots it seems like.

You have to level up several more times in order to put a better fight. The req. for that mission is 30. meaning you should be 32 + to beat him comfortably. Rocket launchers and caustic snipers have done the job.
