What's so great about Skyrim?
A lot of people say that their favorite game is Skyrim. I played a demo at target once, and I just don't see what you all think about it. Please tell me why it's so great.

Okay another person who thinks Skyrim isn't all that! It is a whole different RPG made by the phenomenal Bethesda with a huge open world, multitude of sidequests, and main quests. Plus a lot lot more.

unlike other franchises that assume you are a blithering idiot who can't understand the most basic of concepts, like halo, CoD, BF, Nintendo games just to name a few. Skyrim speaks to you like your intelligent and able to handle complexities.
Meaning you will not be able to understand why people revere it so much without actually playing it in detail yourself. Most games try to be mass market meaning simple and stupid so its easy for those games to grab your attention. For a game like skyrim to do it you have to be immersed in what you are doing and allow yourself to experience the content. Its not designed to shoot a guy in the head die, rinse and repeat. That is the best way I can put it.

I like the game and I think it's great. I just can't move thru it very fast, that and I suck at it I'm only a level three. I also get killed by like almost everything in that game.

Skyrim isn't a game that can be appreciated while playing at Target...just saying.
It's a game that you need to be involved in. Take some time to fully immerse yourself in. Some people can do it, a lot of people can't.
It's just like food. Imagine Skyrim as a very expensive dessert that just need to be eaten slow. Not everyone can do that. Some just want the ice cream sandwich and that's ok...it's not just their cup of tea.
But if you want an easier analogy, here: Skyrim is awesome for people that have OCD and not good for people that have ADD.

It's mostly the huge open world, character customization, and large wealth of things to do. None of which can really be experienced playing it for a few minutes at a store.

*Takes a deep breath* Trolls, giants, gold, dragons, swords, bows, arrows, magic, stealth, charm, romance, bromance, vampires, werewolves, alchemy, gold, elves, machines, theives, gold, open world, smithing, fishing, riding, decorating, gold, assasinations, graphics, cooking, harvesting, enchanting, and did i mention... gold. Give it a rent and try it out. May be a bit glitchy but i've enjoyed it so far.

*sigh* Well, the graphics are simply amazing, it looks and feels like you're in a movie, I've played it for about a few days and feel like I haven't done sh!t, the quests are actually broken down for you, unlike other games. This game puts Oblivion to shame when you play both and compare... Need I say more??
