Is Oblivion better than Skyrim?
I don't know which is better, I mean I love both games to death and all but I can't decide which is better! Im leaning toward Skyrim but Oblivion is a classic!
Best Answer
Tough Question! I love them both too. I think we need to wait for any expansions or add-ons for Skyrim before making a fair decision.

Morroblivion is prob the best. Even if it's a mod for oblivion.

The reason you are having such a hard time is because Bethesda is still working out making a game out of the ES titles.
Skyrim is closer to a full featured game then Oblivion. Its quests systems are more intact there is more game related stuff to do, more adventures to go on. More variation in dungeons.
Despite this the game is 2nd to the world. And is true for both games. So its easy to build a fond attachment to both.
For me Skyrim is the better game. Everything in Skyrim was tweaked and made better. The big problem with Oblivion for me was Oblivion gates were boring and the leveling system prevented you from playing the game, you really had to plan out what you do.
Skyrim is more approachable in every way and you do spend more time playing then planning. They still got a long way to go though.

Well, it is really hard to make a decision right now. Your right, we all love both games to death. Like mikyruiz, I'm waiting to see if there are any expansions or add-ons, then I'll decide.

being a gamer who wandered into the es series with morrowind i have found they only get better, i liked morrowind and had hundreds of hours in it loved the quests and story, then oblivion continued the great saga and much of the same just more of it with the exception of a few dragging plots oblivion was great, then we come to the 3rd installment of the es series for consoles skyrim, so much has been said and i think the best part of skyrim is the open world choose your pace style, then the hundreds of quests and side adventures, the massive skill tree and tons of extra added things like blacksmithing and mining, overall im seeing the future of the elder-scrolls getting even better.
im kind of interested to see where they go in terms of dlc, they have the elves in the north, cyrodill on another border and a wide range of other options to go with.- 0
