SBox Recommends #2: My Sims

On the surface, this seems like a watered down version of the popular franchise, The Sims, made to market towards kids. And it kind of is, however that doesn't mean it's bad by any means.

My Sims (Wii, DS) is a simulation game from our good friends EA. You play a skilled real-estste agent/contruction worker, who is hired by the mayor of a run-down town which you name to improve the town with your great skills. Your goal is to make the town a 5 star town to win the game.

This game is indeed different from the Sims. For 1 thing it's a bit more story-based as seen above. They took out a lot of T rated material such as suggestive actions, and the relationship status is barely existent. The game is also much more focused on real-estate and contruction. You can build houses, create items, and move more people into the town.

My Sims is a great game overall. If you see it on the shelf at a game store, don't be to hesitant on purchasing it. You'll be pleasently surprised how fun the game is.

I love my sims and have had since it came out. The wii is a lot better then the ds. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! I found that out the hard way. When I am sick and need a slower, relaxing game this is what I play. My fav person is travis and jimmy. Travis looks just like (except the eyes) me. My house is full. I love making pizza and icecream, rocking out to the radio and sitting on the can. lol

  1. Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed that game, and I don't enjoy many Sims games because they are usually terrible. But My Sims was pretty fun, I was pretty surprised on how fun it was. Anyway, great review! Hmm... Wonder what game your reviewing next... I don't think requests would fit this segment anyway.
