Have you heard about 2026?

They say that a asteriod will hit us just like in 2004. There was a impact on 2004, a asteriod crashed into earth, but did'nt wipe out our pollution. Asteriods did save us in 1 point of view though, did a asteroid hit when dinosaurs were there? What ever happend to them? Well their are 2 theroies, a volcano, or a Asteriod collision. There had been some hope that NASA can help. It had to do something with the solar though, the solar gets in front of asteroid drifting it away..,What's your explanation?

From what I read, the asteroid in 2004 DIDN'T hit earth and the chances of the 2026 asteroid hitting earth is less than 2%.

Do your research, or at least don't try and scare us by starting your comment with "They say".

  1. I'll start giving it some thought after the purported "end of the world" on 21 December, 2012. If I wake up just fine on 22 December, I'll focus my new fears on asteroids. 2026 will be the new 2012. Hopefully just a bogus load of hooey that people push on consumers to sell survival gear and such.

  3. no asteroid will ever hit us, once it enters are atmosphere it is classified as a meteor. Also meteors don't actually destroy population, it's the energy released from the impact that causes the damage. It may sound like I am splitting hairs but you have to understand how something works if your going to predict anything.

Meteors probably hit several times during the millions of years the various dinosaurs existed. The problem with the meteor mass extinction theory is we never found a layer of rock with a massive quantity of dinosaur bones in it. This is important because if a huge explosion caused mass death there should be a record embedded in the earth showing it.

Most likely if a Meteor was a catalyst for something like this, it would have been the loss of vegetation, the core of the dinosaur ecosystem that would have caused mass extinction.

Don't worry over a rouge meteor, it still has to survive in space to be a threat for one thing and survive our atmosphere to be a danger to us.

  4. You really probably shouldn't worry about this. Its probably not going to hit us anyway. Worrying about this stuff all the time does no good for you anyway.

  5. Considering this is a game website, I have no explanation other than what everyone else has said; you shouldn't be worrying about this. First, that's a whole 15 years away, and secondly we don't even know how much of a crock the 2012 theory is.

Third of all, this is Gamefly not doomsdaycentral dot com dot org dot whatever. Rent an explosive video game and relax.
