whats up with crackdown?

I just bought crackdown for the 360 for 2 dollars.I was wondering why
it did not do well when it was new?I have played many more "popular" games that were not nearly half as good.I mean its not the best game ever but I have seen worse.

Crackdown is definitely an underrated game and should have received a second chance. I am in the same boat as you, I have no clue why this game didn't do any better, though it did do well enough for a sequel...which was ok.

  1. It did pretty well out of the gate because it had the Halo 3 beta packaged with it, but it dropped off once that ended. I bought it for about $20 after the fact, and really I don't think it's worth the amount I paid. It's just kind of boring to me without a strong story to hold it together, and the feeling that you're just rushing from boss fight to boss fight without much direction.

  2. i loved the original crackdown. then crackdown 2 came out and i was utterly disapointed. then came prototype. so much better. waiting fr its sequel in april
