What's the best gun in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

I'm a newbie to Modern Warfare 2 and not a big FPS fan but I figured I would have to learn being that a lot of my friends play this. So, any tips on what weapon I should be packing?

Well the only gun i dont have is the AK47, since im a level 64. I loved the AK47 in the campaign and im sure its good in multiplayer too. But im going to classify my guns into the classes they are in the game, because not one gun is perfect for every situation. Assault rifle would be AK47. Sub Machine Gun would be MP5. Light Machine Gun would be RPD. Sniper would be Intervention. And remember these are all opinions.

  2. depends how you prefer to play. If you prefer sniping, the 50cal sniper is a good option. Remember, silencing any weapon makes you invisible on radar when you shoot. If you like automatic weapons, the m16 has great accuracy. Add a heartbeat sensor, and you can a radar simulation on your gun.

  3. i would say the m16 tat was the best in cod4 and i think its the best in codmw2, the only thing is that it dosent mader wat gun u use it maders how u play. if u going to run around like ur head is cut off u wouldnt matter wat gun u use becuse u will probably die to fast to use it!
