I'm going with the Xbox 360. I like the gamerscore and the wide range of titles available. Also, Xbox Live is a huge plus. Lesser deciding factors for me: I prefer the controller moreso than those of other consoles and the features for interacting with other users are easier to use and better laid out.

It use to be the Xbox360 until I bought a PS3. My opinion is that the PS3 is superior in technology and performance. Also, the best games this year are PS3 games. Killzone 2 alone bests anything on the Xbox360.
I've had 2 RROD with Xbox360 while my PS3 runs like a champ.

Presently, it's Xbox360. But Atari 5200, SNES, Dreamcast & PS2 were favorites in the past.
The Xbox360 has most of the new JRPGs, achievements and I can play my music during any game.- 0

If my PS3 was fully backwards compatible it would be my favorite console hands down. Most of my favorite games are on the PS2, so until I get a bigger library on the PS3 I can't call it my favorite console yet.
But it's definitely great. Besides gaming, I use it for playing TV shows and movies off of my external hard drive and playing music sometimes. As far as the PSN, it's great that it's free and I think it gets better all the time. There are only three problems with the system for me, and that's the price (it needs to go down at least another $100 before I'd consider it a good deal. I'm not saying the PS3 isn't worth the money, but it's hard to spend over $400 for a console). Another is that the PSN store doesn't have a lot of good titles yet. In Japan you can already get classics like Resident Evil 1-3, and the original Metal Gear Solid. Last but not least, the fact that new PS3s are not backwards compatible like some of the older models, and even have less USB ports. Still an amazing system nonetheless- 0

My favourite console from the current generation is the Xbox 360. So far, it has the greatest set of games, I love the achievements, and the price makes it a lot more approachable for most people.
If I had to choose from an earlier generation I'd say the Super Nintendo. Delivering games like Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger (which is my favourite video game of all time), Zelda: A Link to the Past and Soul Blazer, it's a clear winner for me, and that's based solely on the quality of the releases.
