My PlayStation 3 is not reading any type of disc, movies or games, what should I do?

Have it repaired. Unfortunately, Sony doesn't have the same support as X-Box has for console repair. Still, there's some support for Sony, but you'll have to research that yourself.

  2. Send it to Sony for repairs. You should have a number to call in with the manual/materials that came with the console. If not, you should be able to find it on the Playstation website. Repair will probably cost in the neighborhood of $100, unless it's still under warranty (purchased within the last 90 days, I believe).
