What is your Favorite GTA game?

I personally had the most fun with San Andreas. Mountain bikes, jet pack and parachute... killed plenty of days with that.

The Lost and Damned is great and I really like Chinatown on the DS, very retro with modern GTA touches.

I liked San Andreas, but honestly GTA4 is probably my favorite so far. The addition of MP was awesome, and L&D is just icing on the cake.

I'd also go with GTA IV... though honestly, I think the sweet-spot for the GTA series would be a middle ground between of IV and San Andreas. (i.e., large map with planes, parachutes, jetpacks - without having huge stretches of wasteland with nothing to do).

San Andreas. I liked the gang territory aspect. Although I am also liking the old school / new school mix of Chinatown Wars as well.

Although I love the realism and true Next-gen feel of gtaIV, the enormity of both the map and possibilities in San Andreas will not be surpassed anytime soon. Also the music was 1000 times better!

I'll go with Kaiser's take. I did like San Andreas though. Didn't get into GTA IV at all.

They all have their pros
GTA 3: Pioneered the Free roam Genre
Vice City: Great Environment. great story
San Andreas: Had the most things to do and also great story.
GTA IV: added multiplayer and was an all around great game

but i would have to say that that San Andreas takes the cake, great story, deep characters, fun driving, entertaing vehicles, and fun weapons of destruction.
definetly in my top 5 favorite games of all time.

San Andreas was the "biggest". GTA4 felt the most realistic.

I gotta swing Andreas though in terms of pure fun. there is nothing like stealing a plane, flying past the cloud line only to jump out and free fall... inches from death til you pull toe cord on the parachute. that, was awesome.
