Will Battlefield Bad Company 2 have the same characters as the first game?

I havnt heard anything at all about this. But i think i saw some of them on the trailers. Has anybody heard anything about this?

Yeah I read some interview with a developer not too long ago; and he mentioned that you would be playing with the squad from the first game.
