Should I buy Final Fantasy XIII on Playstation 3 or Xbox 360?
Please, no fanboy ranting. No opinions, I just want to know which to buy. As I see it, Xbox has Achievements, better controller (but worse d-pad), and cross-game chat. PS3 has better graphics (are they even noticeable?), and it's on a single disc (this doesn't matter all that much to me).
I had a pre-order on the 360 collector's edition, but cancelled it for the PS3 collector's edition, and I'm not sure if I made the right choice.

I have it preordered on PS3 (and I own both consoles). Achievements are nice and probably the reason I'd buy it on 360, but I decided to go with what is probably the better game experience. Cross-game chat is kind of moot, I don't see the need to chat while playing a single player game, especially since it'd be distracting from cutscenes. Besides the graphical differences though, I hear the cutscenes on the 360 version look and sound more compressed, which makes the video granier and the audio less clear. The way I see it is this, the game was developed and released in Japan for PS3 only, and is getting a 360 port for the NA and EU release, so the most care and attention probably went to the PS3 release. I think it's great that it's coming to 360 so more people can play it, but PS3 was its original "intended" platform.

The graphical differences are supposedly significant, with a fair amount of aliasing issues on the Xbox 360. There are some screenshot comparisons floating around where you can really tell a difference.
Other than that, (and the use of multiple discs on the 360), there's really not supposed to be much difference.

I would go with the PS3 version, just because the game will all be on one disc (the xbox 360 version has three discs).

Well im not going to lie with you, practically every game is the same on Xbox or PS3. I have Modern Warfare 2 on both consoles and its the same thing. PS3 has Trophies, Xbox has achievements. Whats the difference? Just buy it on the console you use most.
