It's...bigger.

  1. It's a lot larger, and it has larger screens. Also, one of the styluses it comes with is the size of a pen. It's supposed to be a DS for at home, or for the elderly who have trouble seeing the regular DSi screen.

  2. It's bigger/less portable, has a noticeably larger screen, some different colors and comes with some free DSiware on it. The price is another difference: The regular DSi is $170, and the XL is said to cost $190. I'm not sure a $20 difference is worth it for a larger screen, as the battery life is almost virtually the same and there's still no GBA slot. The DSiware might help make it worth it, though, depending on what it is.
