Will the Guitar Hero games work on the new Nintendo DSi XL?

I believe the DSi XL, like the DSi, does not have a GBA port, so playing Guitar Hero may be out of the question for now. I've heard rumors of the Guitar Hero games becoming available for download in the DSi shop, but I'm still not sure how you will be able to use the fret bar. Perhaps they will come up with something different and release a new Guitar Hero title in the future?
