Rock Band 3 announced
On there Facebook page, Harmonix has announced that Rock Band 3 will be released this Holiday Season. Who is looking forward to this release, or has the Music Genre lost it's interest?
On a side note, a Harmonix developer, a few months back, stated that RB3 would teach you how to play real instruments. if that holds true, I'm more then interested and intrigued!

I'm also a huge fan of Rock Band 2 and The Beatles RB. Not sure if the "real instrument" thing will hold true, but that could be really interesting.
On a related note, a game called "Power Gig" was also announced today, which basically sounds like Rock Band with a real-ish stringed guitar. (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/62713 )

Well i am a HUGE fan of Rock Band 2. I have 15 GB of downloaded Rock Band songs and Rock Band 2 songs. Then i also have Beatles Rock Band. Besides that, i am very excited about this. I was so disappointed this year when no Rock Band 3 came out. :(
I heard that they would help you learn real instruments aswell as you. I think thats a nice addition, so people can try this out and actually transfer their skills to real world stuff.

I'd definitely be up for more Rock Band, especially if I can export the RB2 songs now and keep building! I can't wait to see what Harmonix does with it, because they were the ones who made this genre popular with the first two Guitar Hero games before they got absorbed by MTV and EA and moved on to Rock Band. And I'm making an effort to avoid games put out by a certain publisher due to their attempts to oversaturate the music game market, and that one unrelated incident where they let some key people from another team go. I'm not calling for a boycott or anything, just making a personal effort to avoid them for a while.
