Are there any Mac gamers out there excited for Valve's announced Mac support?

Steam is soon to be released on Mac platforms, with some Source engine games making an appearance as well. Are there any Mac gamers out there that will finally get a chance to play games like Left 4 Dead, or is Valve making a mistake and there's just no market for Mac gaming anymore?

I've never really play that many games on my computer, but not that I can get Steam that will definitely change.

  1. I'm excited. I've been running Steam through Crossover and I'd like to get something more native to Mac.

  2. Not "excited", but, I think its a good move for both parties. Valve will be expanding it's audience and Mac owners will finally get some games that running something a little newer than the Unreal2 Engine. hehe

  3. Probably the coolest thing is that if you've already paid for a standard PC version of an available game through Steam, the Mac version can be downloaded for free. Classy move.

  4. Well i didn't even know that Valve didn't support Mac in the first place. But i dont have a Mac and i don't want one. But i do have friends with Macs and i'm sure theyll be happy to hear this.

Besides that, supporting mac now will help bump up those sales numbers even more. It was a good choice by their part.
