Fallout: New Vegas - you hear about the rumors? Psyched for a new Fallout game?
Not many details but apparently Bethesda is working on Fallout: New Vegas - PC, PS3, 360, etc.

I'm kind of cautiously optimistic. It's developed by Obsidian, which isn't great but it's not bad either. Should at least be decent.

Fallout 3 in Vegas, that makes sense and it could be a great back drop for the game, I automatically thought of the resident evil movie when the roll through vegas as a wasteland. I think I'll give it a shot as a rental.

I worry that Obsidian seems to deliver games that are acceptable as franchise sequels but generally bring very little in the way of original material to the table. Considering the talent they have, I wish they would start making games based on original IP.
However, I think it will be an acceptable entry in the Fallout series and I will certainly play it.

Extremely excited! I've just spent over 90 hours running around in "The Wasteland". Maybe not much to some people but thats the most times I've EVER spent in a videogame.

The Fallout series hasn't disappointed me yet. I hope this doesn't. If this team proposes a new Fallout I am sure it will be awesome. I doubt they would ruin their flag ship.

Bethesda aren't solely working on it. They are working with: Obsidian Entertainment, who happen to include certain team members who created the Original Fallout and Fallout 2 (Black Isle Studios).
Only time can really tell if it lives up to Fallout 3, even though it is not a sequel, it shall be interesting how Fallout: New Vegas plays out.

I'm SO hyped for this, for two reasons. One, because I foretold this coming to a friend a while back, telling him "You know where they should do a Fallout game? Vegas." Second, because I really want to see how Bethesda can up the ante a little here. I know they'll do better than Fallout 3 with this one, and with the remnants of the developers of the first Fallout game working along with them on this one, I'm sure this is going to be a serious GOTY contender next year for sure.

Type your answer here ...I'm not very excited because I'm worried it's going to use the same engine as Fallout 3 and just turn out to be a mega dlc pack with new skills...
