(Late) Mother's Day themed question: Does your mom play video games? Do you play with her on occasion?

She doesn't play much anymore, but back in the 8-bit era she did. She liked the old school Dragon Warrior games and Penguin Land. She also really likes Animal Crossing. Nowadays the only games she plays is stuff like Farmville and Diner Dash. She does want to play the Beatles version of RockBand though.

I've hardly ever played multiplayer with her. I think with the exception of Animal Crossing, the games I like are different than what she likes, and vice-versa.

  1. She played Mario 3... but never got past the 1st level.. it took her 4 continues to get past the 1st hole in the ground. Soo.. after that day, she never played again.

  2. My mom doesn't play games, but she's watched me play several games. She likes the characters and graphics of the Final Fantasy series. She says she would try to play games, but she gets worse motion sickness than I do, and I'm sure the controls would be too confusing for her (shes old, you see).

  3. 2 Christmases ago my mom got really drunk and played Drums on Rock Band 2. She failed misserably over and over again. It was funny and annoying at the same time.

    But besides that, i never play video games with my mom.

  4. When I was a little kid my mom tried to play PlayStation with me when I first got it. I had Crash Bandicoot 3 and she would ask to play every few days for a couple months. The funny part about it was that she forgot the controls each she played (and had to look at the controller to find the x button each time she needed to press a button). She would play the same two levels each time too and needed me to sit next to her and tell her what to do every time.

  5. the only two games i can play with my mom are super mario brothers and either rock band or guitar hero on the drums (she sucks at drums though)
