Is Call of Duty WaW as good as COD4?

I loved COD4 single player... I didn't really get into the multiplayer that much (rank 5 or so?). Is the COD WaW single player as good (or better) than the COD4 single player?

Looking to get WaW but thought this would be a good place to ask :)

Simply put...No. The single player campaign is good in both games, but CoD 4 is way better. Same goes for multiplayer, I know they are almost the same except for the time period but CoD 4 just "handles" better.

  1. The single player to me feels about the same, though I haven't played much MW single player to be honest. For online MP WAW is definitely a slower game, the controls have been dumbed down from MW

  3. Easy question, NO. Call of Duty had just about everything perfect. A very solid campaign. And multiplayer that just blew everybody away. World at War has "ok" campaign, but it also has really fun coop campaign. World at War has zombies. And the multiplayer is barely above average. For some specific reasons. Way too many levels to level up on. 55 should be the highest it should go. The maps are very average on WaW. There arent any excellent maps and there are too many mediocre maps. Everything else is pretty good though. But Call of Duty 4 has better for all of these things. Keep Call of Duty 4 and when Modern Warfare 2 comes out, buy it because its gonna be awesome.
