Can you get the bonuses for playing Street Fighter IV, if SSFIV is from a different region than SSIV?

If I own a Region 2 copy of Street Fighter IV and purchase a Region 1 copy of Street Fighter IV, will I be able to unlock the bonuses?

I think so, as long as there is a save file of Street Fighter IV you should be good.

  1. Yes, it's only two shaders for the characters though which don't even look that good. I haven't used them once.
