Ever been too scared to continue a video game?
I'm experiencing this right now with Demon's Souls. The game is so good, but I'm scared to continue it tonight because of its threatening atmosphere, creepy and deadly enemies and the unforgiving hard difficulty.
Have you ever played a game which intimidated you to the point where it was hard to keep going?

I can agree with you there my friend. a while ago i got a good deal on silent hill, for the PS1. Yeah i know its old, outdated, but it wasn't used and it was free, you wanna fight about it? anyway i just started it and i get attacked, and i think, where the freak'en power button at. and i've never pick that game up since.

No game (or movie for that matter) has ever really scared me enough to the point where I wouldn't want to play it anymore. Actually it is very rare for a game or movie to actually scare me at all, so when it happens it kind of encourages me to want to finish it even more.

Umm, whenever i play games that scare me, ie. Dead Space and Fear, i can't play them past 8 because it scares the crap out of me. I know that's kind of weird for a person my age, but it is what it is.
And i've played games where they were so difficult that i couldn't keep playing it. Some examples are: Modern Warfare 2 on Veteran and Street Fighter IV (I'm just really bad on SF though).
But i've never really played a game where both of these happened at the same time.

I don't know why but I have a weird fear of swimming on the surface of water in video games, even when I know I can't be killed (examples are Shadow of the Colossus and the beginning of Bioshock). But the only games that really scared me a lot were Dead Space and Condemned.

like "Creepy" scary?. Dead Space.. easily did it for me. Demon Souls a little bit. But it was more of a "I don't want to die and risk not finding my body!!"
THAT is how Demon Souls scares me.

when i was like a kid i couldnt even get past the area in resident evil lol. I grew out of that. Dead space did not terrify me but it did make me jump a couple times. Every1 complains about the pacing i thought it was fine. Cant wait for dead space 2.
