Which will come first: a new console from Microsoft, Nintendo, or Sony?
This article says that Microsoft and Nintendo's consoles will come out before Sony's new console, which is most likely true. I don't like the fact that they try to name the next round of consoles, because Xbox 720 and Wii 2 will NOT happen. As for the question, who do you think will release a new console first? My guess is probably Nintendo, but i have a feeling it will involve more things about 3D rather than HD.

I agree, Nintendo will probably come out first with a more intermediate console, especially if they're trying to shift back toward the hardcore market a bit, with some kind of graphical improvement to please the hardcore, but keep it backward compatible and still make casual games. The only trick for them will be figuring out how to make such a console in a way that's not too simple but not too confusing so they don't alienate either of their markets. I see the 360 and PS3 lasting a good time longer, because I think most PS3 and 360 owners are still pretty pleased with the quality of games being put out.

Nintendo, they will come with something that hooks up your brain to the internet. Full of glitches and people will die, not less casualties as the other Nintendos (?), but enough so it's noticable.

I'm with codmerced, it's too soon to be caring about what next system will be coming out first. However, I will take a guess anyway.
Nintendo could put out a new system to make the graphics snobs stfu, but they still have more money than they know what to do with just from the Wii and DSi/DSi XL and soon to come 3DS. Plus I don't know if they have ever been the first ones to put out a new console.
Microsoft doesn't need a whole new system, they just need an add-on or something to allow the system to read blu-ray discs, because DVDs (as far as games are concerned) is a dying format.

Microsoft. Nintendo doesn't really need one since the Wii is still outselling PS3/360 and the PS3 still has a lot of potential, too.
