Should Nintendo ask Mike Tyson permission to bring him back in the new PUNCHOUT!!! for the Wii?
Best Answer
The original 2 Punch-out games actually never featured Mike Tyson. Punch-out and Super Punch-out where released in Japan with no sign of Mike Tyson, he only appeared in the American NES release but was later released with Mr. Dream.
I'd prefer not to see him in it. while it was cool to get my butt thoroughly whoop by him as a kid. now it would seem tacked on. I'd prefer the game to flow better from one ridiculous character to the next.. and not from one ridiculous character to an child eating, rapist.
can't wait to play as him in Round 4 though.. haha.

That would be awesome, as he was in the first... But this late in the games development, its not going to happen...

I think it would be great fun to have him in the game, but given he was unaware of the game's existence, I doubt this will happen. Perhaps in the sequel?

No. They won't. Remember, the original NES game was Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!! but they later removed him from the NES game because he wasn't a good role model for kids, and they replaced him with the generic "Mr. Dream." I'm sure in the intervening years, their opinion of Mike Tyson couldn't have got much better...

Well since he is going to be in the new Fight Night Round 4, he is giving out his likeness to video games. Probably has to do more with Nintendo not want a guy who goes around biting ears in their games. What they need to finish is Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch...here is a link, in case you haven't seen the abandoned game.
