How do I unlock the special characters in Wipeout?

You have to get all of the trophies in challenge mode to unlock the special characters. You need to get a Gold medal in the 9th challenge mode qualifier level. ( Go to challenge mode --> qualifier --> third menu on the right --> extreme difficulty)....you need to beat all of the other qualifying levels in Challenge mode as well.
