How do you delete units in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty?

You delete them by letting them get shot in the face.

If they are still being produced, just cancel the action. If they are already running around the only thing you can do is command your other units to attack whatever unit you wanted deleted. It is pretty wasteful, so you could also just send them out as scouts to get an idea of what your enemy is doing.
