Why is PC gaming dead? (besides pirating)
Best Answer
I don't play many games on PC because it seems very un-user friendly. And it always seems like the games won't work on my computer for some reason.
Along with that, it seems to me that all of the really good games are on consoles. I still know a handful of people who play games on PCs still, but the majority of them play on consoles instead.

It's not. A lot of people are saying that because the National Purchase Diary (NPD), a group that tracks sales of items through retail stores, has shown a sharp decline in PC game sales (and PC software in general). However, they don't track online sales of digital content, so sales through download services like Steam and Direct 2 Drive don't count, even though they are legitimate sales. And those download services are absolutely booming. So really, we're just seeing a shift in the distribution of PC content away from retail stores and toward legitimate download services.

Because there are so many requirements for the game you buy, you have to upgrade your PC all the time to keep up with the other players (Hardware) and I would say PC gaming isn't user-friendly and I would also say it's less social than on a console.
