What is going to be your big gaming purchase of the year? (If you havent bought it already.)

COD: Black Ops, Halo Reach, Mafia II, Fallout: New Vegas, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood?
Or have you already bought Madden 11, Red Dead, Alan Wake, Starcraft II:WOL or Mass Effect 2?

I find myself maybe buying one to two big games per year right as they are released and then checking the others out either on Gamefly or from a friend and then seeing if they are worth the buy. Does anyone else do this? Or do you buy every appealing game without testing it out?

By gaming purchase, i am going to include accessories into that. My biggest gaming purchase this year will be Kinect without a doubt. It's the most expensive thing i'm buying. Next to that, i'm getting the hardened edition for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Just about everything else (Besides Halo Reach and 1 Kinect game), i'm renting from GameFly.

  3. My biggest purchase is probably going to be the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm collector's edition. Just put my pre-order down today. As far as console games go, though, I'm most looking forward to Fallout: New Vegas, LittleBigPlanet 2, and Dead Space 2.

  5. Final Fantasy 14 collectors edition is by far the most expensive and going to take up most of my time in the remaining year. But well worth it from what I've played of the beta. Beautiful graphics, good if not great game play, I epic improvements in that area as they tweek it. I'm super excited!

  10. I'm looking for a copy of Halo Reach right now....I'm trying to get it before it comes out but I can't find anywhere that is willing to sell it early (or at least admit that they would sell it early over the phone).
