Are you getting the PS3 2 year Protection Plan?
Playstation Plus users can now have 2 years for extra warranty for their PS3's for $45. I got this deal, because my Slim gets incredible hot, and will probably fail sometime. Just so you know, 2 years usually costs $60. Are you getting this?

I thought about it, but I don't know if I can. I bought my PS3 used on eBay, so I don't know if the extended warranty would be effective if I really don't have a warranty to begin with.

I've thought about buying a refurbished PS3, so this wouldn't work for me. I'll just get an extended warranty from Squaretrade, who do a good job on coverage. They covered my refurbished Xbox 360 that I bought on Woot when it RROD'd.
