Which is better; GTA or Mafia 2?

Since Mafia 2 is an open world map just like grand theft auto and they are both set in similar locations although at different time periods. Which is better (any Gta) or Mafia 2?

I'll answer "None of the Above". I personally lean towards the Saints Row franchise for their awesome gameplay and customization options.
