On the Playstation Move controller, why does the color of the top change?
I've seen blue and pink on the controller. Are these just user preferances, or does this change depending on games and stuff like that? Or how much light is in the room? Or none of those?

Two reasons from what I can tell:
1) Player tracking. If more than one player is playing, it can tell who is which player by the color of the ball.
2) Cosmetic reasons. They can change the color of the ball based on actions in the game. For example, if you're playing an RPG and switch to a fireball spell, the ball can turn red to signify that.
