Who is looking forward to the new Xbox 360 controller?

If you haven't seen, a new xbox 360 controller was revealed by Major Nelson that has a changing d-pad. you turn it, and it becomes an ACTUAL cross, rather than a hat bottom that pivots.

Looks cool. I just hope that switching it to the raised d-pad actually makes it feel more precise and isn't just a gimmick. Because it's easy to accidentally hit up/right or down/right on the current model when you just mean to hit right.

  1. It looks nice to me. The Xbox 360 controller has always been pretty much perfect, and if this improvement works like it looks it will, it'll be awesome. They could still do something about the weight, but it's not too heavy.

    I will deffidently try to get this controller when it comes out. I hope it ends up as good as it looks.

  2. I think it could be cool. I'm wondering how the transforming D-pad will actually feel though. If it is good, I'm gonna have to bust out all my fighting games..If it is just a gimmick that would be too bad. I like the color scheme on the new controller too.
