How long have you been playing Madden?

The EA Madden Football series has been around for over 20 years. For all you die hard Madden fans, how long have you been playing?

Me? I haven't played a Madden title since it literally came out...so if I was a big football fan I'd be the man, but I'm not a sports game person.

I usually play Madden atleast once a year. Usually when the hype goes down and i can rent it from GameFly. But i don't buy them, such a waste. And i think the first Madden game i played was 96 on PS1.

And when i rent a Madden game, i usually play one game and ship it back out. What a shocker???? No difference...............

  1. My first Madden was Madden '94 on Genesis. I'm not a super hardcore football game fan, though, so I usually only get one (generally on the cheap) per console generation. Roster updates and incremental improvements to gameplay don't do much for me.

  2. I have been playing them since '97 but didn't get really into it until '04. I really enjoy playing them now because of the weekly roster updates during the season. Me and a few friends will play a ton of Madden on saturdays in preparation for the games on Sunday (we play the match-ups for that week), and then later in the week after the updates we run those same games back to see if we agree with the changes etc...

  3. I tend to check out the new Madden game every couple of years or so. I'm not big into football (or any sport) to the point where I feel the need to play the new ones every year.
