How do you move the Helicopter forward in GTA: Vice City for PC?

I can't get the Helicopter to move forward...

The controls for the Helicopter are pretty tricky....Press arrow up so the helicopter will go up. The left and right arrows make the helicopter strafe. Nine on number pad makes it go forward and 6 makes it go in reverse.
