Would you play a 32-player RTS?

I just saw a video about a game called Apox. It is a RTS that is supposed to be set after the apocalypse with limited ammo and weapon drops...kind of like a RTS and a FPS had a baby. What do you think? I am personally interested to see what other info comes to light about this game..

I'm just going to bring up Mag right here. It has 256 online multiplayer and it sucks. So, i might try it, but i won't buy it. I made that mistake with Mag.

Call of Duty got it right. 6 on 6 is the best amount of players in one match. But this 32 player RTS game will be unique, and unique games are in many cases the best.

  1. Wow, 32 players huh?

That would need to be designed very specifically and range in many different map sizes. or maybe incorporate map sectioning. So when only 2-4 players are on the board it condenses the size. because in order to have 32-players at one time without getting cramped, I'd imagine it would have to be very large which doesn't translate well to smaller game sizes.

Still, I'd give it a shot, I'm not an RTS fan, but that's interesting enough.

  2. I dont think that i would because it would take way to long for the game to finish, and it would get boring really busy.
