For Gaming in general:

Glitches are errors in a game's programing that make things happen in the game that the developers didn't intend. If you have ever fallen through the floor in a game, not been able to move for no reason, or anything like that then you have experienced one before. Some glitches work in your favor, you can get extra items or jump really high..etc. You can usually find youtube videos of how to do a glitch (because they only happen when you do certain things).

A mod is short for modification. People can modify their games so that they play differently. You can download all kinds of mods online.
