Are the Alan Wake DLC packs worth their price tags?

I just finished the game and was wondering if the DLC is good an how it fits in the rest of the story..

I think they are pretty fun. They are pretty exciting, if a little short. I thought it was cool that you could point at words floating in the world like 'boom' or 'fireworks' with your flashlight and that would make fireworks explode.

The DLC takes place after the end of the first game and leads into the ideas that will drive the second game, just like Transience said.

  1. Eh, it's iffy. It picks up where the main game ends and sets up what's likely going to be Alan Wake 2 (I think they said they might already be done with DLC). The gameplay, though picks up in difficulty where the game left off too, and I found a few areas in the DLC to be more frustrating than things in the main game, though that might be a good thing too. My biggest complaints, though are that they're pretty short and they really create more questions than they answer, so don't expect any kind of real closure in the plot.
