What defines a hardcore gamer?

Is it just about being a fanboy, or is it the number of hours you play? The type of games you play? Or perhaps how skilled you are at the games you choose to play...

If you've ever participated in an arguement on a video game message board, you're a "hardcore" gamer. In fact, if you've ever even visited a video game message board, you're probably hard core. Also, if you can name the bosses from all the King of Fighters games, you're definitely hardcore. If you've ever bought a new TV or computer just to play a video game, you're hardcore. It's all about dedication I guess.
