That really depends, if you want a western RPG go for Fable II. If you're into JRPGs go for lost odyssey. Both can be picked up a reasonable price now.

Fallout 3 and/or Oblivion. They're expansive and they'll last you a long time, especially Oblivion, since you can get it packaged with its expansion for fairly cheap now. Unless you're talking about JRPGs, in which case I'd say the best one for 360 is Lost Odyssey.

Fallout 3 if you like modern setting, Oblivion if you like Swords, Magic, and Dragons. I've been playing for about 75 hours now and haven't finished it (by choice). There is so much more to explore in the Capital Wasteland, I have only discovered 50% of the locations it's awesome.

Fable 2. There's lots to do and has great replay value since the environment & characters are dynamic to your in-game choices. I've been playing this for a few weeks now as a hero and still had plenty left to do in the game, yet last night I started over because I couldn't wait to play through as pure evil.

I'd definitely go with Fable II. What better RPG can there be than one where you choose who or what you become? That is true roleplaying.

Mass Effect, Fable II was terrible, at least in my opinion. Mass Effect is a definite buy if your a RPG fan. 1. Mass Effect. 2. Oblivion 3. Fallout. My 3 choices.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion or Fallout 3 both have hundreds of hours of gameplay.

If your talking about exclusives, probably Fable II since Fallout and Oblivion can both be played on the PC. Oblivion is far superior on the PC though because of the insane amount of custom mods that people make for the game, which you can not play on 360. If you want a JRPG, Lost Odyssey got good reviews as well as Tales of Vesperia. The tales game was so popular that it warranted a PS3 port with added content.

Oblivion or Fallout 3. Neither of which are as good as they could be, but they beat the sorry crop of Japanese RPGs for the system. Admittedly I'm not a huge fan of JRPGs and haven't been since they decided to upgrade graphics instead of everything else, but most games produced by Gust for the PS2 knock the 360's catalogue into next week.
